Raven Mask

Another lengthy, experimental, and messy project, but well worth the time and effort.

So this was built of the same base as my previous mask (paper mache over tape-covered foil), so it's not built over a generic plastic base. Cardstock- from an index card, actually, served as the frame for the beak. The several feathers are set into the front, with additional paper mache holding the shafts to the surface. The feathering type of texture on the rest of the face is a combination of shredded tissue and crepe paper, twisted and glued. In addition to the accents around the eyes' corners, there are also black pseudo-sequin/confetti bits scattered throughout, though they might not be very visible in the pictures.
